]]><![CDATA[Degree Show for class of 2021]]>Thu, 01 Jul 2021 09:27:33 GMThttps://www.elaineenglandart.com/blog/degree-show-for-class-of-2021The class of 2021 proudly displayed various modules of our three years of study at the Old Goods Shed in Clare Country Park last weekend (26th/27th July). We had lots of visitors, probably about 200 plus, who were interested in our work ad our futures. I was pleased to chat with people who have an interest in botanical printing and textile art, as well as pottery....fabulous. I will include a few pictures of the exhbition and my wonderful fello students.

So what for the future...well i am currently looking for a premises to lease (not expensive!) to set up a studio. I would like to find a place in a rural area, maybe a farm or a livery yard. My inspiration is nature, so to be embedded within nature is the answer for me.

I will let you know the results!

In the meantime i would like to tell you about a wonderful course I attended between lock downs in 2020. If you fance spending some quality time in the woods learning about traditional crafts, then Ruby Taylor of Native Hands is for you. I will expriment with the notion of combining the textures of textiles with elements of natures flora which I find whilst wandering the fields and lanes near to where I live.
